Clostridium butyricum is a strictly anaerobic endospore-forming Gram-positive butyric acid–producing bacillus subsisting, it is a common human and animal gut commensal bacterium, act as a probiotic are used as potential alternatives to antibiotics for non-antimicrobial induced diarrhea, antimicrobial-associated diarrhea, constipation, and irritable bowel syndrome .
Clostridium butyricum can clostridia produce short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs), primarily butyrate and acetate, by means of fermentation of mainly undigested dietary carbohydrates. Butyrate serves as energy for colonic epithelial cells, plays a key role in maintaining gut immunological homeostasis, and exerts anti-inflammatory effect.

Normalizes the intestinal microbiota
Modifies the intestinal microbiota by increasing Bifidobacteria and Lactobacilli
Increase the abundance of Bacteroidetes and Bifidobacteria in intestinal microbiota
Significantly increased the amount of butyrate in the caeca that provides energy to enterocytes, resulting in increased weight gains
Enhance immue function and prevent tumor occurrence
Reducing the populations of unwanted bacteria
Enhanced growth performance 20%~30%
For aquaculture using, mix 200 gram for 1 MT feeding or 0.15 ppm for pond spray after dissolved in water.
For animal farming, mix 200 gram for 1 MT feeding or 0.1 ppm dissolved in drinking water.
Routine dosing can keep performance.
Store in cool, dry location, keep out of direct sunshine and moisture.
(a) Against E. coli Test (b) Against Salmonella Test (c) Against S. aureus test
(a) Control (b) Enramycin 12 ppm (c) Nosiheptide 25 ppm (d) Kitasamycin 165 ppm
(e)Bacitracin Zinc 45ppm (f) Flavomycoin 10 ppm (g) Chlortetracycline 100 ppm (h) Quinocetone 323 ppm
Conclusion:
1) Clostridium acidophilus should separate use with virginiamycin & Calcium oxytetracycline & Chlortetracycline
2) When Clostridium acidophilus is used together with the following antibiotics, the amount of antibiotics added in the feed should be at the following content:
Enramycin < 12 ppm Nosiheptide < 75 ppm Kitasamycin< 16.5 ppm Amiramycin < 40 ppm
Flavomycoin< 10 ppm Quinocetone < 65 ppm Bacitracin Zinc < 45 ppm
Test method:
Group A 10,000 birds, use clostridium acidophilus when 1-10 days old only, Group B 5000 birds, use clostridium acidophilus when 1-10 days old only, Group C 10,000 birds, used clostridium acidophilus throughout, Group D 10,000 birds, without used clostridium acidophilus throughout, monitor data once a week to monitor the casualty rate and fecal residue ratio for comparison
Test Conclusion: The application of Clostridium butyricum on broilers can significantly increase the feed conversion rate, improve the growth performance of broilers and reduce the mortality rate.
Monitor the performance from 80 days of pregnancy to weaning of piglets (28 days old), Clostridium acidophilus can reduce piglet diarrhea rate and increase survival rate.
270 piglets in the control, 273 piglets in the treated, the test period was 10 days. Clostridium acidophilus can increase daily feed intake and daily weight gain, reduce F/G ratio
