It mainly exists in small intestine and release lactic acid, acetic acid and other antibiotics inhibiting harmful bacteria. It can regulate intestinal bacteria balance and inhibit the proliferation of intestinal undesirable microorganisms.
Its job is to maintain the pH of the intestine by producing lactic acid from carbohydrates, namely glycogen.This material is supplied as an off-white powder whose pH is neutral in aqueous solution.
